The Power of Visioning (8/26/24)

“The best vision is insight.”-Malcolm Forbes

The job of a coach, a leader, a catalyst is to help people see what they can become and provide support toward their vision.

The word vision can be defined as the power of sensing with your eyes or simply a picture of the future.

Thus, VISIONING is actually using your inner power. It’s being in the picture before you make your first brushstroke.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO SET HIGH EXPECTATIONS

If you’re going to practice visioning, then GO BIG.

Regardless of your area of expertise, there’s no power in playing or “seeing” small.

Besides, people live up to the expectations you set for them.

In collegiate tennis, if we treat backup players like backups, they’ll never become starters.

The best leaders set expectations well beyond what others think they can achieve.

  • Steve Jobs: “ding the universe.”
  • Bill Gates: “a computer in every home.”
  • Novak Djokovic: “to be number one.”

Everyone has the same set of eyes.

What matters is how you use them.
